WASHINGTON, D.C., August 4, 2008 – Ambassador Andrew Young, Co-Chair of GoodWorks International, LLC and Mr. Wallace Ford, President and Chief Operating Officer, recently welcomed Rep. Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY) to a fundraiser at its company headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Other notables in attendance were Mayor Shirley Franklin, City of Atlanta, Mr. Louis R. Hall, President of the U.S.-Panama Business Association and Mr. Virgil Hodges, former New York State Commissioner for Labor.
Rep. Meeks is currently in his 6th term in the U.S. Congress, where he is a Member of the House Committee on Foreign Relations, House Committee on Financial Services and Congressional Black Caucus (CBC). He also chairs the CBC Political Action Committee; Rep. Meeks is co-chairing the 2008 CBC Annual Legislative Conference which will be held in Washington, DC, September 24-27, 2008.
